It would be interesting, as support for the argument that games engage learners and are "fun" for learners, to find out just how many students, and what kinds of students, tend to enjoy games on the computer. There are many learning preferences for people, and in my experience, not everyone cares to or prefers to play computer games. For lack of an alternative in a classroom, games and sims can provide useful pedagogical elements affecting motivation, interest, practice, visualization, exploring - but without being more specific about which learners, in which learning environments and for what specific outcomes, this argument seems to come across as a bit overgeneralized.
